Finally, the candidates were finalised for the Batang Ai by-election and there will be a three cornered fight between BN-PRS, Malcolm Mussem Lamoh, a new candidate against PKR candidate, Jawah Gerang, 5 times consecutive winner in Lubok Antu under PBDS, and a blogger, John Chuat, as an independent candidate.
The nomination day falls on 29th March 2009 and the election day on 7th April 2009.
